You know when you come back to an old technique and suddenly you’re like, ohhh yep, this one never fails me?Ā That was me with this simple little stencil shift.
I started by blending a teal ink through an older Hero Arts stencil. Thenāand this is where the fun beginsāI shifted the stencil just a smidge and went back over it with white pigment ink. The soft double-layer look gives the ocean much more movement. Bonus: my blending brush still had some leftover shimmer from a silver ink I used earlier, so that sneak of shine snuck into the waves. I love the subtle shimmer!Ā š

The focal point is made from a little stash of leftover die cuts from the Hero Arts June Card Kit. I embossed the bottom and sides of the arch with that sandy embossing powder from the kit. Sentiment is stamped in red for a little bold pop, and I topped it all off with pearls from Spellbinders.
The best part? This card came together so quickly with things I already had sitting outājust a little reminder to use those leftover pieces for simple, no-overthinking kinda cards!
Thanks for stopping by! Let me know if youāve tried this stencil shift techniqueāIād love to see your take on it.
