This adorable die set from Spellbinders (January 2022 APG Die of the Month – Coffee, Tea, or Me) was so much fun to play with! The options for customizing this set are endless—you can create a pop-up vignette and spruce up your craft space or add this cup to the front of a card. Keep it simple, or dress it up!
When I am experimenting with a new-to-me product, I like to keep my first project fairly simple. I checked out some inspiration and YouTube and decided that I loved the all-white look for this cup, but I thought that adding color and metallic accents might be fun.
This 3D vignette came together fairly quickly after die-cutting the pieces. I used scrap paper from my stash and some DMC metallic thread to give an elegant look to the tea bag and bow on the cup. And voila! I simply added a sentiment to the tea bag, but you could write a message, add a photo, or get as creative as you like. Using a real tea bag would make an adorable gift as well.
I highly recommend mixing things up and creating a different project than you normally would do every once in a while. I plan to give this one as a Valentine’s gift, and I can’t wait to make another (coffee-themed this time!) for a decoration in my craft space. Thanks so much for stopping by, and happy crafting!
