Hello, friends! Today I hope to share a simple message of peace and encouragement in card form.

I had the Pinkfresh Studio Tranquil Water Lilies stencil and coordinating dies on my mind—such serene imagery, and exactly the kind of design I love reaching for in January. I’m also especially drawn to Pinkfresh Studio sentiments; they’re meaningful and often inspire my card ideas. The sentiment “Here’s to the quiet magic you bring to the world” felt just right for this open, airy design.
To create the background, I started by inking Stencil 1 in the top left corner of a Neenah Classic Crest Solar White panel using Water Hyacinth ink from Altenew. For the texture and shine element, I mixed a small amount of Concord & 9th Seaglass reinker with Hero Arts Pearl Paste—just one large drop of reinker for a soft, luminous effect. I then lined up Stencil 2 and applied the paste through the stencil using a palette knife. The result is subtle but eye-catching, and even lovelier in person.
While the background dried, I created the lily pads and flowers using the remaining stencils and coordinating dies. I used Concord & 9th Dragonfruit ink for the flower, and Concord & 9th Seaglass and Juniper for the leaves and lily pad. Although this set creates several elements at once, I chose to keep the design simple by using just one flower and one lily pad. I originally planned to use a Seaglass lily pad, but ultimately decided to die cut one from white cardstock instead—it felt like a better match for the light, airy feel I was going for.
Once the background was fully dry, I adhered the flower and lily pad with foam tape for dimension. I stamped the sentiment in Hero Arts Granite, die cut it, and layered a few pieces of scrap white cardstock behind it to give it a subtle lift.
That finished the card—and I really love how this one turned out.
