Hey friends! Today I’m sharing a BOLD card that makes me smile every time I look at it. 😊💥💖
These flowers were actually die cuts I inked last year for a completely different project that never took off. But you know what? I’m so glad that plan fell through, because it gave these blooms a second chance to shine. If you’re wondering which set these flowers came from, they’re from the Spellbinders Stitched Read & Sip (March 2024 Stitched Die of the Month).

I arranged the florals on a heart die cut from Poppy cardstock by Concord & 9th. To keep everything in place, I used a sheet of Press’n Seal—such a handy trick! I pressed it over the layout, flipped it over, added glue to the back of all the die cuts, then flipped it back and pressed them onto the heart. After a quick dry time, I peeled off the Press’n Seal and trimmed off the excess.
I finished it off with a stacked sentiment from Hero Arts and let that vibrant poppy background do its thing. To tie it all together, I added a crisp white frame using the Waffle Flower A7 Layers dies. This card is bright, it’s layered, it’s joyful—and I absolutely love that it all started with a crafty nudge to use up some leftovers!
Have you ever had a “plan B” project turn into something even better? 😉 Tell me in the comments—I’d love to hear!
❤️ Denise
